Melissa brings more than 25 years of human resources expertise across diverse industries, including healthcare, local government, hospitality, property management, and non-profits. She specializes in small businesses, having worked at organizations of 100 employees or fewer for most of her career. She holds a master’s degree in management and a Human Resources Management certification. 


At HR Excellence, Melissa is passionate about helping businesses simplify their HR processes without the expense of a full-time department. She understands the challenges of managing people, navigating complex regulations, and staying compliant with ever-changing labor laws. Her objective is to alleviate HR-related burdens, enabling you to concentrate on the core priorities of managing and expanding your business.


Melissa is happily married and the proud mother of two nearly grown children. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her daughter at soccer games, spending time in nature, solving puzzles, and decorating cakes.

Shayna brings over 15 years of human resources experience, including eight years in HR management. Her background spans healthcare, manufacturing, restaurants, and farm equipment sales, giving her a broad perspective on workplace challenges and solutions.


As a well-rounded HR Business Partner, Shayna specializes in employee relations, talent development, talent acquisition and onboarding, training, and workforce planning. She is a strong advocate for a “safety first” approach, having led safety teams and conducted workplace investigations throughout her career. Known for her collaborative style and practical problem-solving, Shayna partners with leaders to build strong, compliant, and people-focused workplaces.



When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs.
